We are primarily interested in understanding how the unexpectedly small number of genes in our cells leads to an extraordinary spectrum of phenotypic diversity. In particular, we focus on RNA processing and regulation which have proved pivotal to human health and disease.
We use a combination of approaches in genomics, bioinformatics, molecular biology and systems biology. Our work is greatly facilitated by the revolutionary high-throughput sequencing technologies that have transformed modern biology to an information-rich science.
